The Soldier sitting is Thomas Brown, son of Archibald Arthur Brown, Great
Great Grandson of James Bloodworth, master brickmaker and convict on
the First Fleet 1788. James made and taught convicts how to make bricks,
these bricks were used to build the First Government House, (now covered
by the Museum of Sydney). Thomas, after the war married Ruby Anthes and
went to Wollongong, working in the mines.
